The present research aimed to investigate the effect of religious content of the Holy Defense Cinema on Tehran's members of martyrs' family with a mixed method (quantitative and qualitative) and with analyzing Father's Farm film directed by Rasoul Molagholipour. Therefore, 37 Tehran's members of martyrs' family were selected by the convenience sampling. The data were gathered by a 25-item research-made questionnaire with a 0.95 reliability. For calculating the validity of questionnaire, interviewing with cultural planners, film critics, and Cinema experts was done. The one-sample t-test was applied for analyzing the data. The findings showed that Father's Farm film had a positive results in creating resistance culture with specific aims in quality evaluation. In addition, the compatibility of this film with Islamic ideals and goals (based on the content analysis) was less than expectations. Comparing qualitative results with qualitative ones demonstrated that the effectiveness of Father's Farm film on the members of martyrs' family was not good regarding the current realities. Accordingly, the structure of the Holy Defense films requires a new design and the adoption of a new policy to increase their compatibility with the aims and lifestyles of Iranian families.
