Guide for Authors
Required Sections
Submitted manuscripts must include the following sections:
Originality and Exclusivity
Only original manuscripts that have not been previously published—and whose authors are not under any obligation preventing their publication elsewhere—will be considered for review.
Article Types
The Islamic Journal of Women and the Family accepts the following types of contributions:
Author Responsibility
The corresponding author bears full responsibility for the scientific and legal integrity of the submitted manuscript.
Editorial Discretion
The Islamic Journal of Women and the Family reserves the right to accept or reject any submission at its sole discretion.
Peer Review Process
Final acceptance for publication is determined by the Editorial Board following recommendations from external reviewers. The journal employs a double-blind peer review process.
Manuscript Length
Articles must be between 7 and 30 pages in length, with each page containing approximately 250 words.
Reproduction Policy
Quotations or adaptations from articles published in the Islamic Journal of Women and the Family are permitted, provided that full and proper attribution to the original source is included.
Formatting for English Submissions
English-language manuscripts must be typeset in Times New Roman, 14-point font.
Reference Style
References must be listed alphabetically and formatted as follows:
Books:
Surname, Initial(s). (Year). Title (in bold). Translated by [Translator’s Name, if applicable]. Vol. [number]. Edition. Place of Publication: Publisher.
Journal Articles:
Surname, Initial(s). (Year). Title (in bold). Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Page range.
In-Text Citations
In-text citations should follow the author–date–page format: (Author, Year: Page).
Footnotes
Explanatory notes—including Latin equivalents of specialized terms, idioms, or supplementary remarks—must appear as footnotes on the relevant page.
Author Information
Authors must submit their academic credentials (including academic rank and institutional affiliation) alongside their manuscript via the journal’s submission portal: http://pzk.journals.miu.ac.ir/contacts?_action=signup
Publication Notification
Upon publication, the Secretariat of the Islamic Journal of Women and the Family will email the corresponding author a digital copy of the published issue.
Acknowledgments
If the research received financial support, authors must disclose the funding source(s) in an Acknowledgments section.
Required files to upload: Authors must submit the following essential files through the manuscript submission system: 1. Main Manuscript File (without the author details and prepared based on the provided template. 2. Title Page, 3. Authorship Form (must include the article title, full names of all authors, and be signed by all authors), 4. Conflicts of Interest Form (must be signed by the Corresponding Author and uploaded with the Main Manuscript File), and 5. Cover Letter (Please include any necessary information in the cover letter.)
