Efficacy of group logo therapy with an Islamic approach on women's psychological well-being

Abstract

The aim of this research was to examine the efficacy of group logotherapy with an Islamic approach on psychological well-being of women visiting counseling centers and clinics of Isfahan in the year 2013. For this reason, four out of many accessible health counseling centers of Isfahan were chosen to run the logotherapy. Amongst the women visiting these counseling centers, thirty participants were selected and replaced randomly into two test groups (15 people) and witness group (15 women). The test group received eight sessions of logo therapy with an Islamic approach. Ryffs questionnaire ofpsychologicalwell-being was completed in three stages: pretest, post-test and follow-up. The variance analysis results on repeated measures showed that the average of psychological well-being scores of the test group had significant increase as compared to the witness group, in the two stages of post-test and follow-up (p<001/0).
The general results of this research indicated the effectiveness of logo therapy group counseling with an Islamic approach on the psychological well-being. Therefore acquiring logo therapeutic skills with an Islamic approach as an educational and interfering approach can be used to increase psychological well-being.
