Abstract
Psychological counseling is one of the important strategies for reducing family conflicts and preventing family instability. On the other hand, obedience, meaning the fulfillment of marital duties by the wife (woman), is the most important right of the couple after the marriage. Among the issues that conflict with the right of obedience of the couple is the woman leaving the house without the husband's permission for counseling in order to eliminate psychological damages and family conflicts. The current study aimed to jurisprudentially investigate the ruling on the woman leaving the house for psychological counseling using an analytical-documentary method with the approach of analyzing religious-psychological Ijtihad of verses and narratives. Among Shiite jurists, there are two theories about the conditionality of the woman leaving the house with the husband's permission: first, according to the well-known opinion of jurists, under any circumstances, the woman does not have any right to leave the house without the husband's permission and consent. Second, theories that consider the woman leaving the house without the husband's permission to be impermissible if it causes disobedience. In response to the first opinion, the results of the studies showed that based on the principles of non-harm (La Zarar), interaction in a good way, the husband's responsibility, the verse of Veghayah - and preventing women and children from the fire of hell - as well as the desirability of referring to an expert, it is permissible for the woman to leave the house without her husband's permission for psychological counseling if the husband's mental and physical conditions are taken into account and the gradual steps are observed; because it strengthens the foundation of the family and prevents deeper personal and family damages which lead to divorce.
