The Needs-Assessment and Prioritization of Issues and Research Topics in the Field of Women and Family Studies

Abstract

The present study, which is a needs-assessment research, employed the Delphi technique to collect its required data in two stages for assessing needs and prioritizing the issues and research topics in the field of women and family studies. This study was divided into two main parts: first, the issues and research topics in the field of women and family studies; second, the prioritization of them from the experts' view to do researches. The results demonstrated that social security and health have the highest priority among the research topics. The issues such as social harms in the field of women and family, legal issues of women, family changes and the future studies of Iranian family are the next ones. In addition, the issues of happiness patterns among the women, maternal role and the women's social health, the phenomenon of migration and single life among the women and their impacts, and the women's exposure to the social insecurity have the high priority.
