A Sociological Analysis of the Effect of the Relationship between Income and Family Economical Satisfaction on Children's Citizenship Socialization with an Emphasis on the Fundamentals of Islamic Socialization

Abstract

This correlational research aimed to investigate the effect of the relationship between income and family economical satisfaction on children's citizenship socialization and its components with an emphasis on the fundamentals of Islamic socialization by a non- experimental method. The population included all families of primary school children in the city of Tehran, and 726 families were selected by the multistage sampling. The data were gathered by a demographic questionnaire and a researcher- made questionnaire of children's citizenship socialization with the Cronbach's Alpha of 0.897. The data were analyzed by the confirmatory factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multivariate regression using SPSS- 24 software. The results showed that the increment of family income causes to lower children's responsibility and it does not have a meaningful relationship with children's citizenship socialization, logicality, and acceptability of given criticisms. In addition, the increment of family economical satisfaction causes to improve children's citizenship socialization, responsibility, logicality, and acceptability of given criticisms.
