The Relationship among the Men›s Adherence to Islamic Teachings of Treating a Wife, Marital Satisfaction, and Family Efficiency

Abstract

The present study has been conducted with the purpose of identifying the relationship among the men›s adherence to Islamic teachings of treating a wife, marital satisfaction, and family efficiency. This correlational study is a bivariate correlational research. The population was 6421 married male teachers in the city of Qom and 385 people from them were selected as the sample by cluster sampling. The questionnaires of the men›s adherence to Islamic teachings of treating a wife, marital satisfaction, and family efficiency were applied in the study. The data were analyzed with the help of Pearson correlation coefficient. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship among the men›s adherence to Islamic teachings of treating a wife, marital satisfaction, and family efficiency (P<0.001).
