This research, which was a quasi-experimental study, aimed to investigate the effectiveness of educating the spiritual components on the components of positive psychology (hope, happiness, and optimism) among foster care adolescents by pre-test and post-test design with control group. The sample was 20 foster care adolescents in the city of Kerman who were placed in two groups of 10 (test group and control group). The test group was educated during 10 sessions after performing pre-test on the test and control groups. After that, both groups responded to the happiness questionnaire, revised life orientation questionnaire, and hope scale. The mean, standard deviation and covariance analysis (ANCOVA) were applied to analyze the data. The results showed that educating the spiritual components has a significant effect on the adolescents› hope and happiness, but it does not have any effect on the optimism. The spiritual components, with the help of Islamic techniques, have positive effects on the foster care adolescents› spirit and mind; thus, they can have an important role in improving the adolescents› psychological components.
